Danell Estrada's Story
This week, AppraisalWorld introduces CVR Specialist Danell Estrada, our featured success story of the week. She recently started to complete CVRs and is thrilled to share her experience with other AppraisalWorld members!
“You make a lot more per hour than a [1004] appraisal and it is more enjoyable to do!"
- Danell Estrada
Danell Estrada is the owner of Highlands Ranch Appraisals, LLC. She works primarily in Douglas County, close to Denver, Colorado. She became interested in the CVR when she found out about the level of detail the CVR report offers. She completed the training just over a year ago.Danell prefers CVRs because they allow her to focus on appraising and less on entering data. She says, “The CVR is more accurate, more reliable and has a lot of analytical features.” She is convinced that the CVR gives appraisers the best opportunity to analyze and verify values allowing for more transparent and accurate results.
One aspect Danell particularly likes is the amount of time she saves by completing CVRs. She claims that the CVR can be finished more quickly with the automatic data upload into the software. “The reports that used to take me eight hours to perform now takes only two and a half hours.” The more comfortable Danell becomes with the CVR, the less time it takes her to complete. Danell also stated that lenders have an easier time understanding CVRs. “Lenders view the CVR as a highly attractive alternative to BPOs.”
Danell has been marketing the CVR through various real estate sites, including ActiveRain, which has provided her with the opportunity to tell the industry about the CVR and its benefits.
In her spare time, Danell enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Some tips from Danell:
- “Just do it,” so that you don’t miss out on a great opportunity.
- The CVRs are good for portfolio loans, default management, and alternative loan modification programs.
