Appraisal Atlas
frequently asked questions
What is Appraisal Atlas?
Appraisal Atlas® is an utility that allows you to easily upload the date and location data of your appraisal files while still keeping all confidential information unrevealed. The information is used to elevate your GEAR Score for your AppraisalWorld™ Directory listing so you can be ranked highest in your most qualified area. Atlas was created paying special attention to you and your client’s privacy so there are no confidentiality agreements violated. The score will be relied upon by lenders and AMCs as a measure of trust — much like a credit score — when they search for you in the Directory.
Why should I upload my work history information with Atlas?
Your work history will show your area of geographic competency on a visual map illustrating the areas that you have worked in the past and are most qualified in. It is also included in the calculation of your GEAR score in the AppraisalWorld Directory. Uploading your work experience to your listing results in a more prominent ranking because you generate a higher score than a competitor who has not uploaded as many appraisal report work experience dates for that area.
What does AppraisalWorld do with my work history that is uploaded by Atlas?
AppraisalWorld extracts the effective date of the appraisal and address of the subject properties in your work experience database. The effective date of the appraisal is used to determine the relative timeframe of your research of market data for that area.
No private information in violation of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice is uploaded. For example, the names of the property owners and the price for the property sold are NOT uploaded into Atlas. That data remains on your computer system. In addition, the individual "points" are not visible to anyone and are only used internally during calculation of the score.
What are the Minimum System Requirements?
Windows XP, SP2 or higher, Internet connection, 1024x768 display resolution. You must have a FREE AppraisalWorld Directory Listing to download and use Atlas.
Will using Appraisal Atlas violate USPAP?
Appraisal Atlas does not violate USPAP because no private information will be uploaded to AppraisalWorld. The only items that get uploaded are the property address and the date of the inspection, which is either pubic or non-private information.
How will Atlas help my business?
Atlas will help your business by making your directory listing more prominent to the clients looking for appraisers in the AppraisalWorld Directory—resulting in more potential job orders!
I'm not a ClickFORMS user. Can I still use Atlas?
